The Canadian Pacific Inland Coast is a land of vast wilderness and an abundant  wildlife. Here the visitor can see an amazing array of Canadian North West Coast wildlife in their natural habitat. Enjoy the traditional food of the Haisla.  From time immemorial Haisla Nation have lived from the generous resources of the sea. Participate at traditional salmon feast.  Get the chance to savour local foods as of  wild salmon cooked in traditional way over an open fire or tasty smoked salmon try the unique taste of local seafood such as crab or prawns.   Try the steamed rice with Oolican Oil, and fried bread called bannock . Aboriginal Workshops & Performances

The Haisla Art Work of Haisla people are renowned worldwide for their artisan skills. Sam Robinson, Ab Morisson, Brad Starr or writer Eden Robinson.  Skilled dance groups Spirit of Kitlope, singers, and drummers will gladly perform for guests if pre-arranged.

Cultural Centres & Museums

Many museums and cultural centers across the province of British Columbia contain Haisla, historical artefacts, and the works of great Haisla artists. These museums protect and share the histories of Haisla Nation, and will show you the houses they lived in before contact.  The Elders Center and Feast Hall when complete  will show exhibit such artefacts and works of art.. For now the visitor can come to Kitamaat Village  see locally unique pieces of art located at Kitamaat Administration Centre.
