Terms and Conditions

Registration

To reserve your space on a trip please contact our office by calling 1-250-632-2020 or call toll free1- 877-424-7521 or by E-mail info@haislatourism.com.  Our office hours are from 8AM to 5 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday. Dates often fill up months in advance, and airline seats are limited, so we strongly recommend reserving your space early.

Deposits and Payment - Prices are in US dollars

A non-refundable deposit of $50 for single day tour and $200 CAD for 1 multiple day tour confirms your space. Final payment is due 60 days prior to trip departure and payment can be made by check, money order, or bank wire. We accept Visa and Mastercard payment for deposits only. Special conditions will apply for bookings made within 30 days of a trip departure - call us for details. Note that for trips with less than 4 guests – a small surcharge will apply and will be charged 2 weeks prior to the trip.

Trip Handbook

Upon receipt of your deposit you will be sent our trip handbook which includes a detailed itinerary, clothing and gear list, and other useful information. You will also receive medical history, assumption of risk (waiver) , and reservation forms that must be signed and returned with final payment.

Physical Requirements

Anyone in good health with a positive attitude can enjoy Haisla Tourism Adventure. The amount of physical effort is a good balance of challenge and ease for most of our participants. Please call us, or consult your physician if you have any concerns regarding your ability to participate on one of our Adventure Tour requiring special physical condition (hiking, canoeing, rafting, sea kayaking and backpacking or trekking). We want you to be well prepared for your trip, and have fun on your adventure tour. We are happy to discuss any issue/concern with you.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing. All monies are due 60 days prior to departure and are non-refundable 60 days or less prior to trip departure. You are welcome to find a suitable replacement for yourself, who would then reimburse you, and send us their own reservation, health and assumption of risk forms well in advance of the trip. Please stronglyconsider purchasing travel insurance. PLEASE NOTE: DEPOSITS ARE NEVER REFUNDABLE.

Travel Insurance

As part of the trip package you will receive an option to purchase travel insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your investment in case you must cancel your trip in the event of illness. Delays

Haisla Tourism is not responsible for additional expenses arising from the delay, extension, or cancellation of a trip due to weather, airlines, or other causes beyond our control.

Cancelled Trips

Haisla Tourism reserves the right to change an itinerary or cancel any trip due to: Acts of God, weather, inadequate sign up, or any unforeseen problems. In such cases clients will be offered either transfer to another comparable trip, credit towards a future trip, or a full refund. Haisla Tourism is not responsible for any other trip preparation expenses i.e. airline tickets and fees, hotel charges, medical expenses or equipment purchases.

Transportation Services

Haisla Tourism acts only as an agent in all matters relating to services such as taxi, ground transportation, air transport, hotel or boat charter and can assume no liability for any actions or defaults of any individual organization with whom such arrangements have been made.

Medical

All of our guides are trained and certified in wilderness first aid. We carry radios and satellite phones so help can be summoned in an emergency, but locations are remote. Participants are encouraged to obtain adequate insurance coverage. Haisla Tourism assumes no responsibility regarding provision or cost of medical care or evacuation. Certain medical conditions will require written doctor's permission.

Liability

A participant agreement, release and assumption of risk form must be signed in its entirety by all participants and returned to our office 60 days prior to each trip along with all other reservation and health forms, in order to complete your booking. These forms certify that you have read and understand our Terms & Conditions. Participation will not be allowed on our trips without these signed documents.

Conservation Policy

All participants are encouraged to practice catch and release when fishing. In any event, all guests shall comply with applicable regulations in effect during their trip.
