Duties:

•To promote the culture and history of the Haisla First Nation and British Columbia First Nations;
•To share and demonstrate First Nation cultural history by describing points of interest within Haisla Traditional Territory;
•To promote efficient, hospitable, informative and pleasant customer contact;
•To teach about Haisla traditional ecological knowledge (TEK);
•To be the guardian of the Haisla cultural and natural resources;
•To help guests live the incredible Haisla experience;
•To follow the KVC personnel policy and manual;
•Other related duties as required by the Coordinator.

Qualifications:

•Post secondary student, returning to school;
•Less than 30 years of age;
•Good customer service skills;
•Willing to speak in front of different size groups;
•Willing to learn and convey Haisla First Nation cultural history;
•Able to work independently and in a team environment;
•Strong work ethic;
•Knowledge of Haisla Language and culture an asset;
•Must be willing and able to pass a criminal record check
•Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
